Melon Gang

In the 1960's, the watermelon production in Brazil exploded. One company in particular, Melancia, managed to outproduce every single other company, soon getting a monopoly on all watermelon production in Brazil and South America. The company became richer and richer, however soon seemed to hit a ceiling as they were unable to compete properly with Turkish, Iranian and Chinese watermelon producers. In response, the owner decided to start hiring militant groups to pressure governments around the world to stop buying other watermelons than Brazillian. Gangs sponsored by the company were known as "Melon Gangs". However, the Chinese watermelon production exploded in the 80's - the company put more and more money into the gangs, before eventually going bankrupt. Most gangs collapsed, but some had grown large enough to sustain themselves - soon, they banded together under the leadership of Sebastian Leon.
