Corporate Corruption

In recent headlines the Presidency of EvoCity has been under attack by what were called 'Terrorist'. After the construction of EvoCitys maximum security prison the attacks began and many believe it was ex/escaped convicts seeking revenge, or notorious criminals trying to get their acquaintances out of prison in any way possible. However after investigation by the FBI it is believed that the Government was attacked from the inside with a high ranking official being the mastermind causing all the chaos. The government worker who began the attacks is believed to have a team of people working with him to take down the current government and then take over by force, however nobody knows who this mastermind is. Many suspects had been choosing for possibly attacking the Nexus in order to take over. However the FBI would not inform us of their names. But recently the hacking group 'Sentinel' released evidence from the FBI database including the images provided here showing a member of the staff spying on the President. The hacking group also said in their video that "We do not condone violence, we do this to protect, we will find and stop you with the help of the Government Mr.Franks.". After the video was released high suspicion was placed upon Mr.Franks the Secretary of State who has been accused of these attacks and he is currently on administrative leave until further notice.

Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest, the German based celebration that celebrates the end of a week; alcohol. In recent tradition EvoCity has taken up the trend and the local Government has informed of Oktoberfest coming to the city, which will not only be sponsored by them but they will also pay businesses to set up stock. This is expected to increase the overall economic value of the buildings surrounding it. The festival is due to arrive in EvoCity on the 14th of October and many local business and alcohol suppliers are setting up for the stock. Here we see one of the images for the Festival taken by our crew, the image is just a taste of what the festival will be about. The festival will last for some days and will see the selling of an estimate of over 100 Gallons of alcohol in the sessions with a rough income of over at least $150,000 to all the business combined. May businessmen in EvoCity are taking the opportunity to sell their produce. Entrepreneur and Millionaire Fred Stevens said in an interview "As a man of business I live for opportunities like this, not everyday you can start some newfangled business and then the week later close it. We are of course brewing our own beer as well as importing some classical beverages from the Germany the hometown of said festival.", many people like Mr.Stevens are taking up the opportunity and hope all goes well for them.

Politics

What do you do when your opposition is beating you out of the competition? Well, most of you would say try harder. But not Mr.Shingers, who is currently on trial for the murder of Presidential Candidate Henry Wills. In the recent campaign it looked like Mr.Shingers was going to be removed from the election, but to stop this happening he decided he would take it into his own hands to remove Henry from the competition permanently. On September 18th Mr.Shingers was caught on security camera entering Henry's apartment. Upon entry they were believed to have had a conversation and when Henry went to pour him a drink Mr.Shingers believed to hit him across the head with a blunt object, then after around 10 minutes was believe to shot Henry in the back of the head of a Glock. In court on the 22nd of September Mr.Shingers denies the charges and stated an armed man came in and attacked the duo, however no CCTV evidence can prove this. Mr.Shingers was tried at EvoCity Crown Court and was charged with a life sentence for the murder of Henry Wills. We would like to commemorate Mr.Wills for his service to the political world. We hope that his memory and ideology lives on.

Football:
"Evo Reds reach the top", is the top title in many newspapers around EvoCity and the football leagues. The Evo Reds recently took on Billington, one of the top teams in the league. In many betting offices the odds were 51-1 against the Evo Reds with many of their fans staying at home instead of going away to view them. However the hardcore fans stayed to watch, and it did not disappoint. In the first 10 minutes of the game the Evo Reds were 3 down and had little chance of pulling it back, by half time the score had risen to 4-1 due to Trey Wilshire. However the second half proved to be vital to the team, Billingtons main striker was faced with a red card after a clear kick to the midfielder Steven Simpson. By the 60th minute Evo Reds had gone to 4-3 and the tides were starting to turn. Another shot from Trey meant the teams were equal at 4-4. On the 89th minute of the game the midfielder Steven Simpson scored the ball in the corner of the net sending the crowd wild. The whistle went, Evo Reds had won. In an interview Steven Simpson said, "The kick did hurt I admit but after he done that to me he just made me want it even more, the loyal fans who came to watch were so supportive and we could not be more grateful to them for everything they have done for us". We here are absolutely amazed by the teams effort and overall win and hope they continue to raise in the league.

After finding huge success in just the first few weeks of opening Joe decided to refurbish the establishment with the money the casino had earned which brought in even more customers by the hundreds. The Lucky 7 Casino And Bar is one of the most successful casinos within Evocity and has brought wealth and prosperity to Joe and his associates.
