My PC is poor for today's standards and I want to run more up to date games. Could people look over my build and tell me if its ok or not. My budget is about £1,400

Go with the i7 generation CPU wise, if you plan on building a gaming rig. (Which you're clearly doing)

i7 isn't needed for a gaming PC. The i5 will do everything required.
It's a decent list you've got there, the only alterations I'd make is to include a 120gb or 256gb SSD and lower your PSU to a 650w or 700w as 850w is overkill and you're basically wasting money.
If you can save more, a 1070 would also be something to aim for.
