History



The Metropolitan Police Act 1829 was an Act of Parliament introduced by Sir Robert Peel. The Act established the Metropolitan Police of London (with the exception of the City), replacing the previously disorganized system of parish constables and watchmen. The Act was the enabling legislation for what is often considered to be the first modern police force, the "bobbies" or "peelers" (after Peel), which served as the model for modern urban police departments throughout England. Until the 1829 Act, the Statute of Winchester of 1285 was cited as the primary legislation regulating the policing of the country since the Norman Conquest.

Hello Citizens of Evo,



I have decided as Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Force to go ahead and employ some more constables to work under my jurisdiction.



Under my command, I have appointed Inspector Rossi to look after the uniformed area of Evo.



Evo will be opening six departments within the public sector. This being the Mayoral Department, Armed Response Unit, Response Units, Traffic Units, Paramedic Department and Fire Department. 



Response Officers will be roaming the streets watching for crimes and also responding to Dispatch. This unit is not pursuit trained and can only initiate it and maintain it until a traffic unit has joined, they then back off.



Traffic Units will do the same, however are pursuit trained, meaning they can maintain and take part within a pursuit.

I will be indeed looking forward to hearing great things from this police jurisdiction. Looking forward to seeing you all on your first day!

Requirements

  • Ability to use the voice radio (Familiar with how to use it)
  • A valid drivers license (A Police Car with the plain EvoCity Met skin / SCO19 Van or SCO19 Car/Ambulance/Firetruck)
  • You are disciplined (Will always listen to you're superiors and follow commands from dispatch)
  • In good health
  • Experience within EvoCity (Minimum 150h / Donator for SCO19)
  • Have good team building skills
  • A certificate to show knowledge of first aid

OOC Information

Date set for Saturday, 3rd September 2016. Begins at 3PM BST. Map - V4B1

Officers will have only a USP, to only be used in dire situations. Standard procedures will be to take detained suspects to the custody suite in the jails which will be set up. You are NOT to respond to requests unless dispatched by a dispatcher.

This will be a serious RP and any fooling around in the radio will lead to you being kicked from the event.
