By gaining post. I don't have all the post for the star stuff. someone else probably has it.

Stars are decided by your amount of posts or your forum rank.
1-5 is decided by your post amount. (1= less than 50 posts | 2 = More than 50 posts | 3 = More than 200 posts | 4 = More than 500 posts | 5 = 1000 and your default title will become one of the elders)
5 is teacher/mod.
6 is admin EDIT: / developer
7 is super admin.
8 is Soulripper.

Why would people with ranks automatically get more stars? They already have a rank below their star count. This just removes the "function" of the stars completely. Makes zero sense whatsoever.
An admin with 0 posts get more stars than a user with 7846 posts, what?

I think the stars are there to show reliability and not so much dedication.
