As the ATEK Corporation gained incredible monetary wealth due to their business division, they set up their second public branch, ATEK Corporation Research, Medical and Engineering, to develop brand new advanced technologies to improve the world.
Ultor Corporation Medical and Engineering is composed of several different partitions, such as Medical, Geological, Space Exploration, Advanced Materials, Anonymous Materials and Particles, Biological, Social, Nanotechnology, Bio-engineering, Chemistry, and Augmentation technology. Not known to the public more sinister branches of research exist, such as viral weaponry. In all of these disciplines, the ATEK Corporation Research, Medical and Engineering division has excelled in pushing forwards new advances to technology and vastly increasing knowledge, although some is not known to the public eye.
ATEK Research has a huge amount of high tech research facilities, some not known to the public or even major governments, spread across the globe. They were involved in the building of the Black Mesa Research Facility, which is actually a division of ATEK Research, although it is not known in public. ATEK Corporation Research, Medical and Engineering also often works together closely with the research divisions of FUMUKU International, especially the medical divisions.
