I really like this idea, in conjunction with your other suggestion using a net to catch fish and inspiration from Runescape we could have different methods to catch different fish.

There are already a bunch of fish props that players are able to spawn and use as decorations, lobster included. I think its a great idea adding more fish with varying hunger replenish ratios creating a market for them.
