[FIXED] Not Server Related, but bad - Freedor21 - 08-05-2015

Last night, I tried loading up gmod. It crashed almost immidietly after the loading screen of gmod appears. The logo doesn't show up it crashes before that please help

Have you tried verifying the game cache?
Go to Library > Garry's Mod right click it > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game cache
If that doesn't work I suggest reinstalling the game.

EDIT: If that doesn't work, try thisĀ http://steamcommunity.com/app/4000/discussions/1/864975399686776111

I have verified it, reinstalled steam, and reinstalled gmod. Nothing fixes it

I had this issue on my old PC before if crashed. I don't exactly remember how to fix it though.

If you can remember please let me know ASAP, thanks

There might be an addon that is corrupted. Try removing some of them you have installed recently
If that doesn't work, type -dxlevel 81 in the Launch options
Library > Garry's Mod(right click it) > Properties > General > Set launch options

Use the steam website to unsubscribe from all your addons.
Delete all .gma files from your addons and make sure they are unsubscribed from.
Then try verify your local game cache.

Do you own TF2? Move it out from the steam folder.

Try running it as administrator,or in the properties launch it with windows XP SP3 compatibility mode, these things fixed it for me.
