So just a question, and i'd prefer answers from admins only, are bats considered weapons, and as such are arrestable in public? It just been a real grey area as I havn't gotten a definitive answer from anyone iv'e asked.

Are baseball bats illegal in real life? Nope, you can get them from any sports store.
You should only be arrested for using it to assault or vandalize.

It can be considered as a weapon thus you shouldn't be allowed to walk around in the city with baseball bat, especially in the city.

Just like in real-life, you're mostly not allowed to wield one in public, unless you have an actual proof that you belong to some baseball team, at least that's how it looks like over here.

TL:DR - No.
Bats are equipment objects with the ability to harm.
If a police officer sees you with a bat and immediately handcuffs you, it is probably that they are metagaming, as in FL the only use for a bat is as a weapon.
If a police officer sees you with a bat in the 'strike' position:

Then they could stop and question you, as your actions would appear suspicious in a city.
At this point, you would RP some excuse.
If your bat is by your side, they again can question you, as it would appear suspicious.
