GCSE, Mocks and Qualifications - TheMJ - 01-12-2015 Hey, Just wondering because this year I am choosing my options to do. In my school we got compulsory subjects (English x2, Maths x2, RE, Welsh, Science x3) and we get 3 options. Just wondering what everyone is taking/taken. I've also heard that the mocks you get are harder than the actual GCSE, just want to know is that true O_0. Finally, was thinking of applying to be in a policing team, maybe a local team, and I'm not sure about qualifications ![]() Thanks in advance RE: GCSE, Mocks and Qualifications - Suarez - 01-12-2015 This site is fairly informative about the job of a Police Officer: https://nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk/advice/planning/jobprofiles/Pages/policeofficer.aspx I'm in Year 8, so I can't choose my choices for another year!!!! RE: GCSE, Mocks and Qualifications - aviator - 01-12-2015 I chose to do the following: -Geography -B.C.S (Business and Communications Systems) -Economics -Spanish With regards to mocks, it depends on your school if they make their own exams. A lot of them I did before Christmas were made by the school but others were just the June 2014 exams. They're not necessarily difficult, just that I couldn't be arsed with revision or any effort really. Good luck with GCSEs and don't worry about mocks, they aren't too important. RE: GCSE, Mocks and Qualifications - Brynn - 01-12-2015 Take a look at this link : https://nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk/advice/planning/jobprofiles/Pages/policeofficer.aspx, This shows you more information about joining the Police Force. And when it come's to choosing your options, I'd say choose atleast one/two you enjoy and then pick two inwhich would help you gain a role within the police force.
