Garrysmod crash - Pinky - 03-07-2014 Well i have a problem when i play like normal gmod just chrases .... its anoying when you have a great time with friends.. does anyone else have the problem ? :3 RE: Garrysmod crash - Roachy - 03-10-2014 I'm assuming that it just says "hl2.exe has stopped responding..." this can happen for a number of reasons. 1. Bad coders. (Which isn't possible because CityRP has next to no bugs, other servers might do.) 2. Corrupt game files. (Go to your steam library, right click on garrysmod and verify integrity of game cache) 3. Your computer can't handle something on a map. (Upgrade your PC, clean it up a bit. Google CCleaner.) 4. Completely re-install your Gmod. (Delete the garrysmod folder, then delete the local game content on steam and reinstall it.) If the problem still persists after trying all of these things, then use Google to find a solution. RE: Garrysmod crash - hugoroy - 03-12-2014 I'm also having a similar problem. I don't get any sort of error, garry's mod just closes right as I join EDIT: Nevermind, it's working now EDIT2: HRMMMmmm, It seems to only work RIGHT after a computer restart. Any advice on this one? RE: Garrysmod crash - Demonic - 03-12-2014 So it only works after ur pc startup you say? That might be because some program need some time to load up and thus is why you can play ur gmod right after restart perhaps. RE: Garrysmod crash - hugoroy - 03-13-2014 I've looked through all the options and I don't have any of them installed. Unfortunately, my game crashed at "retrieving server info" now. I'm trying about trying a full Garry's mod whipe EDIT: Garry's mod completely cleared, even after re-install I still can't join the servers :/ RE: Garrysmod crash - Demonic - 03-14-2014 Do you by any chance run your gmod on windows 8? RE: Garrysmod crash - Pinky - 03-14-2014 well my problem is i have to join singleplayer before i join FL.. and sometimes it just chrases .. dunno why but i re-installed gmod and it seems to work again no crashes but thanks for the help everyone ! I'm really struggling with this one. Also, if it wasn't clear, it's ONLY these servers, everything else in my Gmod works fine. EDIT: Nevermind, I deleted my game and re-installed it. Everything works now. I muse of had some conflicting files buried in my game. |
