On Social acceptance - Barkles - 12-27-2013

So, my topic of today is social acceptance... The idea that no matter who you are, what your personality is and where you come from you will be a fully accepted member of our society. A prime example of this is my day today.

So I am myself a socialist, taking after my mother, however on my dads side we have the capitalist, traditionalist (occationally racist too) family. These people i dispise, I find them stupid, materialistic and way too stuck in old ways.

But worst of all, in this so called 'family' of mine I am a social outcast... My hair messy, geeky persona that would rather have his pc taken than do sports, and generally a introverted guy.

Of course my 'family' are the polar opposite of this, my cousins are seen to be like the airan of good looks, sportyness and of course zero personality. And thus I am the black sheep, shunned by them and their parents, the one that thy get the shittiest gifts, the one they don't attempt to talk to and the one who gets shouted at by his dysfunctional traditionalist grandma because he isn't 'being sociable'

Well you know why?

Because your stupid elitist children and their subsequent twits of offspring shun me from their clique

My mum feels the same she comes from the liberal and contempory side of the tree. She has now joined me in the quiet room I've found in this cavernous old house.

And so I implore you Guys just accept someone for who they are and try to experience and try different ways o living, you may like it!

I'm sorry bout this guys I just needed a release before I punched one of their smug faces Smile

If it was too long, There was no need for you to comment. Commenting "tl;dr" it isn't funny, It Just makes you look like a d*ck and an ass who can't read a few paragraphs.

I agree with you Barkles, Everyone nowadays should accept different people and the things they choose to do and how to live in life. Too many people are living in the past.

Since when do you think that I care what others think about me in the first place? Anywhay let's not turn this into an argument.

Indeed not.
I made that to convey my opinions aboutt stuff. But I do accept your feedback about the length, I maybe should have cut back on the personal stuff Wink

Your opinion
However may I warn you tht tolerance is generally a required life skill, generally in my experience you have to be able to tolerate an indervidual to work with them. For example as a musician I work with many different guys. Some I like, some I find d*ckish but I learned I tolerate them that life is generally easier and I generally get more work.

Just a tip Wink

Today times have shown that tolerance may get out of control. It did. I personally represent a national radicalism (a polish type of nationalism). Our country did suffer from an invention of socialism, communism, so majority of our population knows what's bad. Too bad the government didn't change at all after 1989 and post-communists are still leading.

Anyways i agree with the family acceptance, family should stay as family, no matter what.

RE: On Social acceptance - Barkles - 12-30-2013

Yeah I see what ya mean there...
However, after consideration I have decided the people in the original post are not my family
A family are people that well... Love and care for each other, and so I have made the decision to officially disown them, as I have reached an age where I can shape my own life. So, when the annual toff gathering comes around next year I will not be in attendance. Instead any gifts I receive from them I will donate to charity. I don't need their gifts bought with their deposable income. It is better spent on those who haven't had the luck I have in life

You should never deny your own family, even if it makes mistakes, respect them and help in their own weakness.
