Need some help with my Gmod please :) - Rolorox - 12-15-2013
Hello Rolorox here, some of you may now me, some of you may not....
Anyway I used to be very active on Fearless and I miss it, Lately I have been wanting to hop back on and get back into it but for some reason no matter what I do I cannot get my gmod to work.
I am computer savvy but I am no computer genius. I have tried everything I can think of to fix the problem.
The main error I am getting is
couldn't load: C:/Games/Steam/Steamapps/Common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/bin/client.dll
Reason: Invalid access to memory location
Please try again.
If anyone has had this before or knows how to fix it please help. I would love to be a part of this great community again.... just gmod is being a dick

Have you tried validating your gmod files? Steam Library > Right Click GMod > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity Of Game Cache

Seems the memory access is busted. Try re-installing the game, it should fix it.

so the thing is, I have (multiple times) validated my cache, reinstalled the game, reinstalled Steam, changed the location of gmod, changed the location of my entire steam, and yet this message still comes up. The only thing I haven't done is like a wipe of my computer -_-
Just did a total remove of Steam and re-installation. Still got the error.

Go into downloading and I think the file is 730..
Go into Downloading and look for anything Garrysmod related and drag it into your gmod gmod folder. Had nearly the same problem with CSGO

Is there supposed to be stuff in the "downloading folder"? There is nothing there for me?

1:go steam delete gmod file
and re download it
2:if it stop working tell me what file missing and iwll give it to you from my game
3: try this bin file
replace it with old 1 give it try

which bin is this? Common Garrysmod, or common garrysmod, garrysmod?

He is saying you should do a clean install, so go into your common file and completely erase Garry's Mod.
