Date, time, back story, jobs/roles, aesthetics such as pictures, font and text. I would suggest using all these to make a successful event. Not to mention you need administrator permission for a global RP event.

Yes Exactly what Verzyn said. You can't just say "event, here it is, go" you have to plan it out. Build the atmosphere. Talk to an admin. Make it real and attract people to it with a great back story and roles in which people would enjoy playing!
