Welcome to my proper law enforcement guide. In this guide you will learn how to properly role play as different roles in the government of Evo City. Please make sure to read over everything, and post any feedback that you have for me. If you see any grammatical errors, etc. please reply below.
President
Commands:
/tax [amount] - Sets the amount of tax that is taken from each paycheck to everyone that is on the server.
/demote [name] [reason] - Gives you the ability to demote any government official.
/radio - Access to the government radio.
/broadcast - send a message in red chat color to the whole server.
/warrant [id/name] [arrest/search] [time (5-15)]
Starting out:
As a president, you are in control of everyone in the government. You will most likely have several requests to demote players for breaking server rules, for example a fireman abusing his axe. Make sure that you convert it to a roleplay reason so the administrators don't feel you are backseat administrating.
When you first spawn as a president, make a broadcast to the server notifying all the players that they have a new president, just in case there were plans to raid the previous president.
Next, you want to post a list of laws, some things to consider are:
Follow red-lights and stop signs
Walls around homes look hideous, they are illegal
Cars are banned due to the amount of hit and runs in the city
Only schedule an appointment with the desk secretary or it is invalid
Entering the nexus without an appointment will result in an arrest
Boarded windows automatically warrant the home for a search
Gun dealers are not allowed to sell guns to citizens in the city
Black market dealers are banned from the city
After you have established your laws, go into your console by hitting the " ` " key on your keyboard next to the number 1. Type the following:
bind [key] "say /broadcast [laws]"
This will allow you to hit a button and the laws that you have bound to that button will automatically be posted in chat. This will save you a lot of time.
Next, we want to establish a tax. Tax is the one factor that determines your paycheck. To properly roleplay, set the tax depending on the money that you need. For example, you could pay all the SS members $250 extra, after setting the tax to $30, to allow for them to purchase more ammo and guns.
As you are serving time as a president, warrants will be sent to you by the police. To accept a warrant, type:
/warrant [id/name] [arrest/search] [time (5-15)]
If you set a time above 5 minutes, you must have a police officer in the jail as a jail guard or you will be assaulted by admins
.Make sure that you stay in the nexus.
Tips:
- You cannot be raided for tax/speed limit
- You should stay in the nexus
- SS agents are not your body guards, they are like S.W.A.T
- Build a basketball hoop, president is boring
- If you have a clan, you can work with them to ensure your safety
