it let me on the server for a 30sec the kicks me can any one help

I do not believe you need Steam to run Minecraft, moved to Help and Support.

i think you mean in gmod, right?
Completely exit from the Steam client.
Go to C:\Program Files\Steam (or the Steam directory that was specified during installation).
Locate ClientRegistry.blob and rename this file to ClientRegistryOld.blob or delete it.
Restart Steam to allow the file to be recreated.
Test the issue once more and see if it been fixed.
