I just got banned for ages...
and i want to post an unban request, so i looked at the guide and i was wondering what a template was? Could someone please tell me!

Follow instructions in that thread and copy and paste the 'code' box into a new thread.
A template is something which serves as a model for others the copy.
I advise having 3-4 tabs open. The template tab; the new thread; The SteamID page and the Fearless Bans Page. This should allow you to swiftly move for point to point in your Unban Request.

I guess naming a thread properly is too much of a challenge for you, just like reading around the forums or making an individual effort to achieve your goals.
