hl2.exe virus detection - Theblackshadowofgod - 10-25-2012 Hello, So since today when I got back from school my bitdefender suddenly detected hl2.exe as a virus. Which causes the following: bitdefender removes the virus, gmod updates itself. Bitdefender removes the virus, gmod updates itself. And so on... I could add it as an exclusion of course to not detect it anymore. But I'm just wondered why it detects it as a virus. Anybode else having this problem? ![]() ![]() RE: hl2.exe virus detection - Haarek - 10-25-2012 Maybe gmod 13 was a virus! Nah, I don't know, but probably something to do with the new gmod. Would be logical. RE: hl2.exe virus detection - Theblackshadowofgod - 10-25-2012 FML. Now it's also happening for CSS... Edit: And now the files don't auto update anymore. Also not when I launch gmod or css. RE: hl2.exe virus detection - Matt W - 10-25-2012 Garrysmod may trigger it because garry encrypted some of the binary modules to help prevent cheat creation. RE: hl2.exe virus detection - Theblackshadowofgod - 10-25-2012 Would someone mind uploading their CSS and gmod HL2.exe for me, please? RE: hl2.exe virus detection - Biowulf - 10-25-2012 No. RE: hl2.exe virus detection - Theblackshadowofgod - 10-25-2012 I need this hl2.exe shit right now. Don't even try giving me a dropbox url, cause this stupid program is scanning everything. Even when I disable it.
