hl2.exe crash as soon as I try to connect to fearless - GotTheLife - 09-07-2012
Basically the game tabs out and instantly crashes as soon as it says connecting to server, don't know if it's just fearless as it's the only server I play on.
Only just started happening today, validated steam files and defragged Gmod
Anyone experiencing this/Experienced in the past?

Sounds like GMod broke with last Source Engine update? Does the gmod beta still work? I'm in Egypt till Tuesday, but will see what I can do.
I see some people are getting in but i can't get into any server.

I had this issue too. I'm not sure if this is what you meant by "validated steam files" anyway, here is what worked for me. Right click Garry's Mod>Properties>Local Files>Veryfy integrity of game cache.
Or try to reinstall.

Try to write vgui_allowhtml 0 in console and join server.
