Polish contribution to World War II - Doctor KuLa - 07-11-2012

Many people says, that france had the best resistance movement. I can say, this is not true, because there was more resistance movement, much more better than in france, but the best and biggest was in poland

Here are link for wiki if you feel to know more about it Cheese

Haha thats a joke, Poland had one of the least advanced fighting force, thats why they were taken by Germany so easily.

Also the Polish resistance force was wiped out by Germany/Soviet Union. After that, they sent them to labour/death camps, and bombed most of Poland.

Remember, that Poland was attacked from all border sides by nazi Germany, Slovakia and Soviet Union, and first time they use "Blitzkrieg" even later france didn't change there tactic

They never wipe them out, who tell you this?
But yes Soviet Union take control of Poland after USA and UK give Poland to Stalin hand's, But they send only former Home army members to Siberia labor camp anyway in 89' WaƂesa throw domino with colapse eastern bloc .
And yes Soviet Union bombed most of Poland (my city in was destroyed in 87% only our Cathedral was only little damage)

I see you are from USA so you not know much about europe history

Make a decent statement instead of just going "HAH POLLAND SUCKS ASS, 200.000 OF THEM DIED, LAWL". Really, casualties show nothing. USA has 418k deaths, does that make them inferior to Poland? Your logic is incredibly fallacious. Claiming Poland "sawcks lul" cause they got taken over in a matter of minutes is just retarded. They were cornered, helpless and the nazis had the element of surprise, which works well with blitzkrieg.

RE: Polish contribution to World War II - Fultz - 07-11-2012

No country was strong compared to Germany. If Hitler didn't go crazy think of what could of happened?

Poland was destroyed in a month, but they didnt really have much to work with. They basically threw men at the Panzers and hoped. France knew what was going to happen but they made the same mistake they almost had in WWI. Stating whoever was better between France and Poland is stupid because it is just opinionated. Both of these countries were destroyed in just about a month time so what is the difference?

France had better airplanes, Poland pilots
balance of forces in invasion of Poland 1:2 for nazi side and in invasion of france 1:1..... anyway I don't say that French are chickens because they fight like hell, but only one thing give ballance for nazis it was Luftwaffe

About USA.... read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Simoom

Polish pilots were worth their salt at the Battle of Britain alone.

303 squadron had the highest number of downed enemy aircraft.

Oh, and who doesn't love the story of Wojtek the bear soldier?
