Gmod Error : Startup - Nevy - 06-28-2012

Having a problem starting garry's mod, and this is the error.

Code:
Failure to load the launcher DLL 

Specified procedure could not be found

Any solutions or estimated times it will be fixed?

I'm getting this error too. I read that it's a corrupt file downloaded from a multiplayer server. The only servers I join are the two Fearless servers, and seeing as you're getting the same error, I have a bad feeling a bad file got onto Fearless or something D: Either that, or it's something to do with the last update that I just downloaded before I started getting the error.

Yea i'm having same problems too, my gmod will not load at all.
I think the update for steam was bugged and messed up every ones game.

Dont reinstall Gmod, go on Garrysmod.com, that guy garrys sais something about it, or if u cant be stuffed i just copied it here, this is what Garrys says:
"Yesterday’s Source Engine update has broken compatibility with Garry’s Mod.

Failed to load the launcher DLL:

The specific procedure could not be found.

I’m aware of the situation and I’m working on getting it sorted, sorry for the downtime please bear with me."
So anyways, he should bring out a fix soon, if it can be fixed that is.

Yeah as it have been stated before in this thread. I can indeed confirm that it is the TF2 patch that have crashed Gmod again and im sure Gary is working to get it fixed until then there is nothing we can do except to wait for a patch fixing the problem.

And now for the techical/ish part.
The reason Gmod crashes after the new TF2 patches is because Gmod runs on some of the same scripts and codes as TF2 which can quiet often cause crashes if TF2 is updated it have happened before and it will happen again.

Hope this helped you into understand why this happens.

No wonder.. but how can other people play on gmod? One of my friends is on garry's mod right now.
