RDM / Criminal Rules notification for low hour players - Equinox - 10-16-2024 Title of Suggestion: RDM / Criminal Rules notification for low hour players Description Adds a small popup/reminder every time someone with less than 10 hours spawns in as a gun dealer or police officer (especially gun dealer) to remind them they aren't supposed to randomly kill or mug people. Optionally repeat it once they equip a weapon after spawning. Why? Plenty of RDM's and rule-breaking crime happens with low hour gun dealers since that's the fastest way to get your hands on a weapon. Obviously they don't read the rules when they spawn in, so reminding them on their GUI with a pop-up sound notification would reduce the chances of this happening. RE: RDM / Criminal Rules notification for low hour players - frost - 10-28-2024 I'd agree but it's pretty much common sense on any type of roleplay server to not be allowed to randomly kill people, if they're doing that straight after joining then that was their intention in first place, not to RP so it would become an admin situation We shouldn't really have to put notifications on jobs or when you equip items as people should really read the rules in the first place and use common sense that RDM is not allowed, if it was something that was specific to FL, like it used to be you had to /job Criminal then yeah that's fine, but for a Gun Dealer it doesn't make sense to me RE: RDM / Criminal Rules notification for low hour players - Pollux - 10-28-2024 I agree with Frost, although this isn't an issue in the first place with the new gamemode since we've removed the concept of fixed "jobs" from everything apart from government roles. This could be done for events, although not sure if it'll really do anything. Those who want to mass RDM join with that intention, a sign asking them to not probably won't help. |
