It just shouldn’t be happening.(03-02-2019, 06:44 PM)Envy Wrote:(03-02-2019, 05:29 PM)Dimitris Wrote:(03-02-2019, 05:11 PM)Envy Wrote: Don't quote me but because you can buy in-game currency via Money Packs with real life money, I get the feeling that theoretically it probably is illegalOh, I'll quote you cause what you're saying is wrong. Can't you think of a better argument? No matter what bull shit you think of, casinos in a roleplay server that there is no way of cashing-out the ingame currency for real-life funds is perfectly fine. You keep on mentioning that there is a way of cashing-out that money, well the community does not support such action in any way and if anyone ever tries doing so I bet he will instantly get removed from the service permanently. You cannot cash out therefore it is not gambling. If it was considered gambling, CSGO lootboxes, Apex Packs, TF2 boxes etcetc would all be illegal.(03-02-2019, 09:36 PM)Dimitris Wrote:the roleplay server is operated by fearless which is a registered charity not a gambling house - it does not have a licence. It may not be a legality issue, however morally it is completely wrong. The fact that this in-game roleplay is open to people underage of 18 and 16 is not right. There definitely should be some sort of regulation over the way casinos are ran in game. There should be a way for people to either stop or be stopped from gambling in the casinos. Some people may be spending ridiculous amounts of money on money packs to fund their habit of playing these games on the server and this habit may carry further on into the real world where they will face real problems. It's just morally and ethically wrong to have casinos ran by young people and open to more young people without any sort of regulation or system. RE: Community Feedback 2: Electric Boogaloo - Awestruck - 03-02-2019 Don't get me wrong. I do think there should be restrictions, but just call it what it is. RE: Community Feedback 2: Electric Boogaloo - Ghost - 03-02-2019 If you think it's illegal to gamble on a Gmod server you're straight up dumb. An example would be what EA have done in Belgium. They removed FIFA points to buy packs on FIFA, however you can still buy packs with ingame currency because you earn the currency from playing the game. RE: Community Feedback 2: Electric Boogaloo - ryan! - 03-03-2019 Everyone needs to be honest with themselves and say how they really feel. I want casinos banned because I don't like Joe Joe and Forgee. We all are thinking the same thing so stop pretending we are fighting to stop "gambling addition" or "children gambling." If we make a rule that everyone was allowed to make casinos expect for Joe Joe and Forgee, I think that would solve the issue. They are the real problem, not casinos. RE: Community Feedback 2: Electric Boogaloo - JackZ - 03-03-2019 It’s mainly that casinos are the only form of ‘RP’ that happens now. You should not be able to gamble if you aren’t 18 in real life either, facts. Cry all you want. Wait until you’re of age. Therefore we don't want any opinions about staff activity as it's a recognised issue and we're in the process of fixing it. Funny thing is pollux if you took your time to fucking read all my posts within the v2d thread you would see i picked alot out. It's just you're too stuck up and arrogant to know otherwise. I would advise not jumping to conclusions. RE: Community Feedback 2: Electric Boogaloo - Random - 03-03-2019 gambling is bad and this is a christian server |
