imo nothing really scary can come out of the HL2 engine, atleast I havent seen anything yet and yes as Faustie said there is nothing I've seen in nightmarehouse 2 that I have not seen in another game.
Alan Wake is a well good "horror" game but is not scary by any means.
Amnesia does deliver a great atmosphere and some thrilling chase events.
But I havent really played a game I thought to be massively scary.

Alan Wake isnt exactly a horror
it is psychological action thriller, to be straight about it
