I was attending the situation as an officer. Opening fire upon the hostage taker was valid, he knifed (maybe killed) the hostage as why he became a bigger threat to us. he had to be put down.
I dont think he actually hit anyone other than the people who ran into the van.

may ask though, what a delivery is doing in a hostage situation? just watching instead of fearing his life?
You may although it doesn't have anything to do with you breaking the rules. I'm not sure why I would fear for my life. I'm not the hostage or someone being threatened. I'm in no danger.

1. I did not break any rules, I never opened fire and 2. You should fear your life because you could've been shot too if the bullets reflected from the RV.

The main reason we made entry was because someone else ran in and got stabbed by the hostage taker. Onto why I shot. Chumps was directly in front of the hostage taker, he was gonna get stabbed so I opened fire as I didnt at time have the taser in my hand.
Edit: It seemed the person who originally ran in got stabbed. The suspect turned around and tried to stab the person who ran in (not exactly sure if he got stabbed. But either way I knew he had no regard for any life so I made the decision to go in.
