They are Ridiculous, But if they're trying to make this game as realistic as possible, they should only make them bright like that in a very dark area, flash lights don't work like that in daylight.
Depends how powerful they are.

Wow.. a video of the Beta (or alpha?) where people are trying out the game and its new (mostly realistic) features..

I'd say that most people will get rid of the flashlights within a few months after the release.
Anyway...
I think Battlefield 3 will be a very good game. I like that the guns are now "deadlier" so that you don't need OVER 9000 bullets to kill someone.
BUT
Since they want to scan my PC with their Origin bullshit the game just died for me. I hope there will be some "community patch" or crack for it (for Origin, not the game itself).
