So this means that if you have a brother who plays FL and he gets banned, you get banned permanently along with him? I am not sure I understand.

You get banned when joining while he is banned (won't Insta ban accounts)
And remember this is for using steam family sharing
Buy separate gmod and it won't ban you

Incorrect, it's not an IP ban. It's a measure to stop people from using the same "family linked steam accounts" (IE same gmod copy) who are already banned from the servers. If you and your brother have different copies of gmod (you've bought it twice) you won't be auto banned.

but if you decide to share Garry's Mod with your "family" and they play on Fearless then be advised that any ban might cause some troubles. You are better of not sharing your account anyway^^ Just gift your family members the game, causes less trouble
