Depends whether the involved parties metagamed the positions of the other parties.
Ie. Someone looking for the "typing" message to shoot at it etc.

Just try and stay away from doing it in my opinion, just so you don't get in trouble with admins for RDM or metagaming for shooting when their talking icon was up (even though you already knew they were there).
