They're not the only ones that have attacked Steam in the past, they were just stupid and made it so the FBI could trace them easily. People have attacked government servers before and have never been caught.

Pro tip: never DDoS anything related to Valve, because the FBI will come to you, and bring you to Gaben so he can eat you.
