Joining problem? - TheMJ - 01-25-2015
Recently my Hard disk drive failed, therefore we got a temporary 80gb one, until Tuesday. I went to join V2D with the map and HL 1&2 packs, and every time it started extracting CityRP Content Pack 1, when it gets to 'Extracted CityRP Content Pack 1' it just closes gmod down??
Can someone help me

Download the Content Packs manually, I had the same problem, fixed it like that.

Once these are downloaded, try joining without downloads are on.
To do that,
1) On your main menu, click "Options".
2) From options, click on "Multiplayer" tab.
3) In the menu, there should be a bar, probably yours will say "Allow all files from servers."
4) Click on the bar, and there should be 4 given options.
5) Last one is "Do not download any custom files.".
6) Select that and rejoin.
That worked for me, can't guarantee if it will work for you too.

By disabling all server downloads I'm not able to join the server at all :/

Does it come up with a crash message when it closes? Also have you tried joining a single player game first?

No crash notes. Single player works fine. Just the CityRP servers
